Clear results
A readable weekly work log
Accept common duration formats
This timesheet calculator accepts 8:30, 8.5, and 510 min. It treats 8:30 as 510 minutes, while 8.30 is a decimal value only when entered as 8.3.
See day and project totals
A timesheet calculator can group valid duration rows by date and project, making it easier to check client, task, or department notes.
Keep invalid rows visible
An invalid duration is labeled and excluded. That prevents a typo from silently inflating hours or estimated gross pay.
Made for real questions
Practical timesheet checks
Project-based work
Add the same date to several rows when a day is divided among projects. The project summary adds only valid minutes.
Weekly review
Use the timesheet calculator to compare a personal log against a weekly schedule before you submit it elsewhere.
Simple pay estimate
Enter a rate, overtime threshold, and multiplier to see an estimated gross amount. Taxes, deductions, and eligibility are not calculated.
How to use this calculator
Enter your own numbers, review the result, and use it as a clear gross-pay or time estimate. Important payroll, tax, and employment decisions should be confirmed with your employer or an appropriate professional.
Formula and assumptions
Total minutes are added first. Weekly overtime begins only after the selected weekly threshold.
All money results are estimated gross pay before taxes and deductions. Time calculations use integer minutes before display rounding.
Worked example
8:30 means 8 hours 30 minutes, or 510 minutes—not 8.30 hours.

Use one duration rule
Choose a format that is easy to audit. For example, enter 7:45 for seven hours and forty-five minutes, or enter 7.75 for decimal hours. The timesheet calculator converts each valid entry into integer minutes.
If a row says 510 min, it is already a minute total. If a row says 8:30, it is converted to 510 minutes. A value such as 8:99 is invalid and remains excluded.
Check the summaries
Read the By day table to find a missing or unusually long date. Read the By project table to check whether split work was assigned to the intended label.
Weekly overtime is calculated after valid rows are added. It is a planning estimate, not a determination that a particular worker is legally owed overtime pay.
Audit a weekly timesheet
Use the timesheet calculator after entering rows, not before. Scan the date summary for a day that is unexpectedly empty or longer than planned. Then scan the project summary for a label that should have received part of the day. This short review catches many copy-and-paste mistakes without changing the original duration text.
Keep the source duration beside the result. For example, three rows of 2:30, 3:15, and 2:45 total 510 minutes, or 8h 30m. Converting each row to decimal and rounding early can make a comparison harder. The timesheet calculator keeps valid rows in minutes until the summary is displayed.
Resolve common entry mismatches
A timesheet calculator cannot infer whether a duration belongs to the correct date or project, so scan those two fields before trusting the total. If Monday contains two project rows, their combined duration should still match the time you worked on Monday. If a pasted row has no date or project, give it a clear label before exporting the record.
Use the timesheet calculator again after correcting an invalid row because excluded minutes can change both regular and overtime totals. A row of 8:75 is not eight hours and seventy-five minutes; write 9:15 or 9.25 instead. Keeping one format within a batch makes the exported CSV easier to audit later.
